Morning habits

In order to honor my body and face the day on the right foot, embracing each minute with peace, staying present and grounded, this is my morning routine:

  • I set my chirping birds alarm which, far from bothering me, makes me wake up in a good mood.

  • I start with 10-15 minutes of yoga stretches to unblock my body and ease every corner. Cows-cats, facing dogs, and all these jazz.

  • 10 minute meditation. I am still new to this. Apps like Headspace are a great start, but I often prefer silence to get there.

  • I think about my three daily priorities (personal, professional and social) so I can keep focused during the day.

  • I take a sip of fire cider to boost my immunity and feel energized.

  • Shower time, which I enjoy intensely, under some eucalyptus branches that make me feel like I'm in a spa.

  • Then comes a good coffee. Having an energetic breakfast with my daughter to put a big smile on my day.

  • I start the journey by writing a thought to pause to reflect for a few seconds.

  • Ready now to jump on the email and sort it into categories by priority.

    And of course, a quiet and decluttered workspace goes a long way in keeping focus :)
